The Tokushukai Gymnastics Club Poised for Beijing

The Tokushukai Gymnastics Club (Tokushukai Medical Corporation) was established in 1998. Two members of the club, Isao Yoneda and Hisashi Mizutori, took part in the 2004 Athens Olympics. The Male Gymnastics Group won the first gold medal in 28 years. In 2006, it had a membership of ten regular athletes and won four consecutive contests at the All-Japan Working People's Gymnastics Meet and the All-Japan Gymnastics Championship. At the individual all-round contest, the athlete Mizutori distinguished himself with first prize in the Working People's Gymnastics Meet. In international competition, they were active at the Asia Gymnastics Championship, the World Gymnastics Championship, and the Asia Championship.


In 2007, the Tokushukai Sports Center is to be completed in Kamakura. For 2008, all sights are on participation in the Beijing Olympics.
